【IEGS2013】rules of Japanese draft tournament

This article shows what the draft tournament is.

【definition】

There 344 characters in IEGS2013. Participants are going to attend draft conference and make their own teams. On the same conference, nobody will get the same characters other participants have.

【draft conference】

There are 16 turns to get characters. Each turns you can get 1 character. To expain easily, this time we will talk about the conference where 3 people, A,B,and C participate. It is the minimum case.

【Flows of the conference】

In Japan, all participants tell  characters they want to an organizer at DM.
You have 2 or 3 minutes to consider. After all participants send the message, characters they designate are exposed at the same time. Now,let's see an example with A,B,and C.

the designated characters in the 1st turn
B Torb(Sor)
A Torb(Sor)
C LJ Hiroto
(Xavier LJ)

C, who only wants Hiroto immediately gets him into the team.
On the other hand, there are more than 1 person who wants Torb. Then, the organizer uses a RNG tool to decide which player gets Torb.
This time we assume A gets torb by a RNG tool. After that, B will consider again and tell the organizer a character he wants. Of course, except Hiroto or Torb.
We could say if you can't get your designated characters by RNG, you need to think again.

You will do this for 6 times.

【Turn 7th~16th Wave system】

Look at the table above. The participants name B,A,and C are written by this order. This order is now meaningful from turn 7th. (the order is decided before the conference starts)
When the turn 7th starts, at first player B has a priority to get 1 character. Player B will send message of a character he wants to the organizer . Then, the organizer read it and his designation is admitted.
Next, player A has the priority and does the same. Then, player C also does the same and the turn 7th is finished.
At the turn 8th, this time player C has the priority at first. Next, player A, and then player B. It is a reverse order from turn 7th.  At turn 9th, it is the same with turn 7th.  At turn 10th, it is the same with turn 8th.
Make sure you cannot get characters who are already taken.

Taken together, it goes B→A→C, C→A→B,B→A→C, C→A→B,B→A→C, C→A→B,………
In the table the priority moves up and down, so this system is called wave system.

【Other rules】

  • GK who have coop catch hissatsu
If you get Makiya,Goin,or Genda, who consist "Mugen no Kabe"(an infinite wall),
you won't be disturbed by other people taking its parts.
Same can be said for high voltage users,Zagomel, bubo, and gebo.
Maybe this rule can be more improved if there are many participants in 1 conference.

  • Changing attachments hissatsu is banned
Mostly because of LJ Kazemaru(Nathan) and Torb(Sor). If you can change their hissatsu on each games, their users are obviously advantageous because in this tournament you already know the opponents' teams.
